This Wednesday we looked at 3 Scriptures: Hebrews 3:7-19; Hebrews 10:19-25 and I Thessalonians 5. Again we asked the question... What's the least we can do? to enter God's rest... to enter the Most High place... to be a child of the light/day?
Step 2 of the exercise forced us to come up with some things that we can do as everyday/any day, practical, real-life activities for God.
The results of the 3 groups/3 Scriptures will be posted as replies to this post.
Feel free to add your own thoughts, comments and questions!
Hebrews 10:19-25
ReplyDeleteContinue to meet together to encourage each other and to connect with each other to develop Christ-centered relationships with one another.
Confidently and sincerely draw near to God through the blood of Christ as we hold fast to our faith.
Find at the end of the day that we have spent ourselves well in service and loving others during the day. To hear “well done, good and faithful servant” in our end of day prayer time.
Daily seek the companionship of the Holy Spirit through two-way prayer and conversation.
I THessalonians 5
ReplyDeleteBe ready! We don't know when Christ is coming back but if we are living right we'll be ready.
I Thess 5:11-22 had a lot of great one-liners that answer the question of everyday practices pretty well: encourage one another and build each other up, warn those who are idle, encourage the weak, be patient with everyone, be kind to each other, be joyful always, pray continuously, give thanks in all circumstances, avoid every kind of evil
Hebrews 3:7-19
ReplyDeleteLWCD: obey, listen to God, believe
Practice: encourage one another with an emphasis on TO LOVE AND GOOD DEEDS... call someone, send a note, make a visit
